Thomas De Filippe
Thomas De Filippe (Tom) is a business valuation professional with over 15 years of experience working with middle market companies, law firms, accounting firms, wealth advisors, private equity firms, financial consultants, investment bankers, and insurance firms. In his role of Senior Consultant with Sigma Valuation Consulting, he focuses on providing professional business valuations required for purchase price allocations, corporate planning, merger and acquisition activities, fairness and solvency opinions, intellectual property, and trust/estate planning.

Areas of expertise include Estate and Gift Tax Valuation, Matrimonial Valuation and Litigation Support, Healthcare Valuation and Advisory, Corporate Advisory/Tax Compliance, and Real Estate Appraisal/Cost Segregation Studies. He has completed over 1,000 business valuations over the past 15 years in every industry with middle market firms, both nationally and internationally. Sigma Valuation has multiple offices in these markets, and Tom divides his time between NYC and Italy, working with domestic and international clients and referral sources. In addition, Tom has extensive background in both cost segregation studies and commercial/industrial real estate appraisals.

Tom holds and M.B.A. from Hofstra University in Finance and graduated cum laude from St. John’s University in Marketing/Economics. Tom has served on various business organization boards and committees, including ACG NYC (Association for Corporate Growth), AMAA LI Chapter (Association of Merger and Acquisition Advisors), various business networking groups, and not-for-profits and community associations, including the Vassar Parents and Friends Giving Committee. He has spoken at various industry events on the topic of business valuation and has served on the NYC Mayoral Transition Committee.
